JLT Sponsors the Annual Aerospace Insurance Conference in Russia
12th August 2010, London: JLT Re and JLT Aerospace are sponsoring the annual conference organised by the Russian Aerospace Insurance Association. The event will be held on 29 September - 1 October 2010 in Moscow. This is a premier forum for the Russian aerospace industry attended by local insurers and reinsurers, as well as many other industry experts. The Association was established in 1996 and this is its 15th annual conference.
Paul Smith of JLT Re and Ian Krise of JLT Aerospace will make a joint presentation on the current barriers and opportunities encountered by Russian insurance and reinsurance buyers in the international markets. The global aerospace insurance market has suffered several years of deteriorating loss experience, and many buyers are now concerned about the potential impact on the costs and coverage of their (re)insurance programmes.
Paul Smith is a Partner at JLT Re's Aviation Reinsurance Practice. Prior to joining JLT, he spent over ten years at Aon where he had earned a reputation as an expert in developing reinsurance solutions for international aviation insurers. Paul has 27 years of experience in the aviation insurance market and has began his insurance career at C. T. Bowring. Ian Krise is a Partner at JLT Aerospace where he concentrates on the design and placement of complex insurance programmes for major aviation clients including a number of airlines based in Eastern and Central Europe and the former USSR. Ian has 25 years of aviation insurance experience gained at JLT and, prior to that, Heath Lambert and Alexander Howden.
