1. How can we gain access to the new system?

Please contact clinicaltrials@jltgroup.com to request access to the system. You may be required to provide further information in order to be allocated a unique user id and password.

2. In which countries will the Clinical Trials Insurance Portal offer cover?

Ultimately the system will be able to offer quotations for most territories around the world.  There are some territories that because of local anomalies will require a quote and documentation to be produced outside of the system (eg Germany and Brazil).

3. What types of trial can be insured?

Phase I, II, III and IV drug trials can be insured using the Clinical Trials Insurance Portal.  Medical device trials are currently not part of the system but will be added in due course.

4. Do we always get an instant quote and instant documentation?

In the vast majority of cases instant quotes will be issued. Where referrals are required we will contact you to take the enquiry through to quote stage. Documentation will be issued instantly in all cases where non-admitted cover is currently provided (UK, France, Spain, Italy and Poland) but other non-admitted territories will be added to the system very shortly. Where admitted paper is required (outside of the UK) documentation will be issued outside of the system and typically within five working days.

5. Insurance admitted versus non-admitted

Insurances will be issued on an non-admitted basis under the European Union's Freedom of Services. Where the insurance policy needs to be issued on an admitted basis we will arrange this.

6. Are Policy documents produced in the language local to the trial?

Where policy documents typically need to be they will be issued in the local language

7. Our trial is in the USA can the Clinical Trials Insurance Portal provide cover?

The system does not provide cover for trials in the US but we can arrange quotations through our partner brokers. If you wish to do so please contact us on clinicaltrials@jltgroup.com
