JLT Launch European Real Estate Practice Group

 

29th June 2011, London: JLT Specialty Limited (JLT) is pleased to announce the formation of a new European Real Estate Practice Group drawn from the established real estate team in London and JLT's Network partners throughout Europe.

Bill Gloyn, Partner, European Real Estate, JLT says "The European Real Estate Practice Group will enhance services to all our existing clients around Europe by improving the understanding of the very different insurance and legal regimes in those territories. It also means we can capitalise on the combined premium turnover that the practice group has with various leading pan-European insurers by improving policy coverage and pricing - for the benefit of clients and their tenants ".

Mark Drummond-Brady, International Chairman of the Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group and a member of the JLT Group Executive Committee, says "This is another example of JLT focusing on and growing our specialist areas. A key part of this is building our international reach and relevance. JLT values the diverse relationships we have throughout the continent and welcomes the opportunity to export specialty skills and experience to our partners - whilst still respecting the local and independent relationships that our partners have with their clients".

The new practice group will add strength to the whole JLT International Network and, through that strength, considerable benefits to JLT clients.

A senior representative of a leading global insurer was at the launch and commented that he saw JLT as "currently THE act" although they are the broker who gives them the most challenges on price and scope of cover. JLT regards that as a very positive comment.
