JLT and Tysers agree
US D&O portfolio transfer
London 8th July 2009 - An agreement has been announced today that will result in the orderly transfer of a portfolio of North American Directors' and Officers' Liability business from Tyser & Co Limited (Tysers) to Jardine Lloyd Thompson Limited (JLT). David Float will, also, be joining JLT from Tysers with immediate effect, having previously been a Director of the North American division at Tysers with responsibility for the business being transferred.
Tysers and JLT believe that the clients' interests are of paramount importance and have reached an amicable agreement that will allow for a smooth and orderly transfer of the business. Clients will continue to receive the high quality of service and advice that they have come to expect, without interruption.
The process of transferring the business has already begun, with the aim of ensuring that all clients affected understand the detail of the transfer and have appropriate contact and supporting information.
David Float has more than 25 years experience advising and placing D&O insurance in the London insurance market for US domiciled companies, working for HSBC and Gibbs Hartley Cooper before joining Tysers in 2003. He is widely seen as one of the market's leading specialists and his role at JLT will see him develop their portfolio of US D&O business.
