Second new JLT Specialty Regional Office announced in Reading

8th February 2012, London: Following on from the announcement made on the 19th January about a new JLT Specialty Limited (JLT) office in Nottingham, JLT is delighted to confirm another new UK Regional Office in Reading.

Warren Downey, Managing Director, Risk Practice Division, JLTS, says "Reading and the surrounding area has a growing and vibrant business community which we feel will benefit from the local service we can offer linked with central specialist expertise - a unique combination that provides best in class solutions."

Peter Cant, Head of Practice, who is currently based in JLT's Southampton Office, will set up and run this new location. Peter says, "I feel both extremely pleased and proud that JLT is continuing to expand its presence and relevance in the UK. Reading can offer us a wealth of opportunities both for clients and employees."

Peter is currently responsible for the sales and client service teams in Southampton and Maidenhead and has particular strength in developing strategy and structure for client programmes. Peter has 28 years of experience in insurance broking, with 12 of those with JLT.

Warren Downey concludes, "Peter will be looking to grow the team, focussing upon client relationship, service and new business development".

The JLT Specialty Risk Practice currently has 7 UK office locations employing over 250 people.
